Heat Wave Arena is a subset expansion in the Japanese Scarlet & Violet series, released in March 2025. It continues the trainer partnership theme with cards spotlighting Ethan, Cynthia, Arven, and Misty, headlined by Ethan's Ho-Oh ex and Cynthia's Garchomp ex. The set's highlights are its five Special Art Rare cards, including a Yanmega ex that forms a combined illustration with its matching Yanma Art Rare.
